SmithBuilt Studio

SmithBuilt Studio is a small project music recording studio in the south end of the Puget Sound, Washington state. The space was constructed by Matt and his good friend, Doug Smith in the spring of 2009. Electrical was installed by journeyman, Paul Gray. SmithBuilt is a completely isolated, single room structure within the garage of Matt’s home. There are no interior walls of the room that are shared with the garage or the home. Acoustical treatments were provided by Auralex. It is a cozy project studio, yet roomy enough to fit a 4 piece band with a 5 piece drum kit.

 

Matt uses StudioOne by PreSonus exclusively for tracking and mastering.
